“ I always gravitate toward a hot bowl of soup/noodles on a gloomy day, so I decided to give Tin a try! We went around 1pm on a Saturday and were seated right away. I thought the lunch rush would've died down after we arrived, but the rest of the tables quickly filled up by the time we left. The portions were solid and comparable to their price. Bun Bo Hue - The flavor on the broth was good, meat was tender, and the noodles were cooked well. This wasn't a top Bun Bo Hue for me, but it does the trick. Hu Tieu Kho - This was our first time trying this dish and it didn't disappoint! When the staff served this, they also explained how to eat it and cater it to our preference. I'd get this again when I'm feeling a warm version of a dry vermicelli bowl. Lastly, I want to call out that their staff noticed our table was wiggling after we sat and quickly voluntarily offered to fix it so it'd become more stable. This seems like a small thing, but I've experienced many times at other places that wouldn't take this initiative until we asked (which we weren't planning on it, since it was minor) so I wanted to give kudos! ”
“ Comes out hot and fresh. Love both of the spring rolls especially the one with the egg. Kind workers and quick. Place is kind of hidden, wish they had more locations! Cute place though. ”
“ A rainy day on a Friday called for a takeout. My partner and I ordered shaken beef, spring rolls, a bun noodle bowl with lemongrass chicken, and a papaya salad. The shaken beef was good. The dish's overall flavor was good, but the beef was a bit rough, and the overall portion could have been a bit bigger. Still, it was a solid choice! Their spring rolls were fresh and filled to the brim. Their peanut sauce was typical. The pork was an interesting addition, but unfortunately, it was a bit dry. The papaya salad was refreshing, and the portion size was decent. The sauce was definitely needed as it enhanced the depth of the dish. My partner enjoyed her bun noodle bowl, especially the lemongrass chicken. The flavors gave her taste buds a blast. If you're craving some good Vietnamese food, check out this place! ”
“ Ordered takeout from here and was not disappointed! I got the bahn mi noodle bowl with lemongrass pork and an added cha gio roll. The roll was super crispy and flavorful without being too oily. The pork was also full of flavor, and the pickled veggies were nice and tart to offset the fat. The portion was appropriate for the price, in my opinion (at least in SF, where everything is generally up-charged). ”
“ Cozy and unpretentious, this restaurant was just down the block from our hotel, but was a pleasantly comforting meal. It is on a rather quiet stretch of Howard street, we were treated to classic Vietnamese options. I was super excited to try the Shaken Beef and my partner got the Bun Thit Nuong.... two very traditional dishes. We were both happy campers at, the meat was flavorful and juicy. We will definitely be coming back on our next visit to the city. ”
“ Got bun bo he on a rainy weekday. When I got there, we were seated immediately. The server was amazing and quite friendly. I ordered the bun bo be and didn't realize that I could change the spicy level. But it was amazing (just a little bit too spicy). When our food got here, we did had to request for bean sprouts, which I found a bit disappointing but believe the place still deserve a 5 stars for the friendly service. ”
“ Nice to find a spot in the City that serves hu tieu, since I used to get this dish semi-frequently in Orange County, and it's been a while. The food was pretty solid and affordably priced for the area. I would come again. ”
“ Always in the mood for pho! Finally got around to trying Tin and while I couldn't decide as usual, I went with their Bun Bo Hue. Coworker chose their Beef Stew and we also shared a Banh Xeo. I specifically requested mine to be "super extra very spicy fire please!!" lol just in case they were afraid to bring me the heat. Happy to report they brought the heat!! Although some toppings were missing like pork blood, I thoroughly enjoyed my the broth of my BBH. Coworker enjoyed his beef stew and said it was super tender. As for the Banh Xeo, sooo good despite not being as crispy since it was a delivery order. Yum. Cravings satisfied. ”
“ A wonderful Vietnamese restaurant. The bun Rieu and Banh Xeo was delicious. The workers there were attentive and made sure everything was to our liking. The place is kind of small and we had a big group, but it didn't feel cramped. ”
